I got to see her live in Portland several years ago. I wasn’t familiar with her, but the energy of the crowd as they sang along to this song was electrifying, especially the “just the boys” part. She’s a classically trained rock star – check out her pipes with Pink Martini. And she lives in Portland, so my fantasy of running into her at the local haberdashery is still alive and well.
