…Until recently. My sister and I watched this video about a dozen times back in ye olde day. After hearing a Fergie song on the radio the other day (“Big Girls Don’t Cry,” I believe), I was transported back to 8th grade, around the time when Fergie launched into a solo career from The Black Eyed Peas and gave the world “Fergalicious.”
So fiercely sexy and silly. “My body stay vicious / I be up in the gym just working on my fitness / He’s my witness.” That shit’s poetry, baby.
I often wonder why her solo career didn’t explode. It looks like she’s still making music here and there, the most recent being L.A. Love – but her voice is so good! Maybe it’s too dime a dozen in the music industry. A star has to have more than just a rocking body, pretty face, and nice voice. I’d love to have an inside look at the industry. It seems viciously fascinating.
Here’s a throwback to the better days of The Black Eyed Peas. *sigh* Here come my prepubescent flashbacks.
My Hubz loves her. We have a rock & roll themed guest room with a picture of her on the wall. I also had her face plastered on his 40th birthday cake. lol She’s fabulous! I have a few pairs of her shoes too 💜

I actually just heard this song last week for the first time in years. And I was like, “Damn, this is actually such a great song.” The lyrics may be absolutely ridiculous, but can anyone really help singing along with them?

I thought watching the video and hearing the song all the way through would finally get the earworm out of my head.
Nope. Still there. “F-E-R-G-I-E…”
